The University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) has a 50-year history at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. The UCEDD at OHSU works to improve the health and quality of life of Oregonians with disabilities through education community service research and information sharing.
Function/Duties of Position
The Community Research Associate/ Education and Training Coordinator is an integral and valued member of the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilites (UCEDD) core team. The UCEDD strives to improve the health and quality of life of Oregonians with disabilities and their families.
Key responsibilities for this position include planning and implementing educational and training programs overseeing community outreach and engagement coordinating events and managing data collection evaluation and reporting. The Coordinator also leads coalition-building efforts sustains communityacademic partnerships integrates research-informed strategies manages trainees and disseminates outcomes.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong initiative independent judgment and strategic thinking along with advanced interpersonal organizational and technical skills. This role provides leadership in mentoring junior staff and trainees representing UCEDD at state and national levels advancing funding and partnership opportunities and contributing to the dissemination of research and best practices from UCEDD training and internship programs.
Required Qualifications
- Masters in relevant field AND2 years of relevant experience ORBachelors in relevant field AND4 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Advanced database management skills
- Web based course design and implementation
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Able to function independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in an interruptive office environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Education Business Administration Management Public Administration or a field related to the position.
- Previous Graduate Education experience.
- Proficiency with scheduling systems.
