The Blueye underwater drones are controlled from an Android or iOS device. The Blueye App and the Blueye Observer App are developed in C# using the cross-platform MAUI framework from Microsoft.
As a Mobile App Developer Internyour main objective will be to develop new functionality for the Blueye Mobile App such as the integration of new sensors and peripherals visualisation of sonar data improvements in automated report generation or new ways to utilize underwater navigation systems and location data.
In addition to the tasks mentioned above youll also contribute to the daily operation of Blueye which includes:
Customer service and support
Creation of marketing material and content such as videos pictures and blog posts
Manufacturing and shipment of Blueye underwater ROVs
Field testing of new hardware and software being developed
As an intern youll receive guidance and mentoring from Blueye employees throughout the project. Youll work closely with our technical team of talented engineers across fields such as software development marine cybernetics electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
We may also offer part-time employment for students before and after the summer internship on a case-by-case basis.
We believe a good candidate for this internship is a Master- or Bachelors student studying relevant topics within software development cybernetics user experience design etc. Experience from iOS or Android development or with the C# programming language is a plus.
We are only looking for applicants located in Trondheim who will be able to attend in person for the duration of the internship. We also want our intern candidates to be able to benefit from the Workation Program and activities organised in Trondheim during summer.
