Job Summary

Rowhedge Medical Centrehas an exciting opportunity for a practice nurse to join our practice on a 1 year fixed term role is on a part-time basis approximately 15 hours/2 days per week.

Rowhedge offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in student health alongside general practice. We are a split site practice with campus-based health centre and dispensing village practice and is a pilot site for Pride in Practice. The practice consists of an established team of 4 partners 4 salaried GPs and 1 retainer.

About the Candidate

You will have the following skills and qualifications:-

A relevant nursing degree and at least 2 years post qualification experience in general practice
Current NMC registration with an active PIN
Competent to undertake Asthma COPD diabetes CHD clinics/reviews and hold relevant certificates
Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation phlebotomy ECG recording screening management of long term conditions cervical cytology sampling vaccinations and immunisations dressing and wound care and recording spirometry
Compassionate empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspect of your work as well as valuing the dignity of the patients relatives carers and colleagues
Knowledge and application of supporting long-term conditions
Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the NHS
