Traffic Control Person Flagger

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all safety procedures and protocols are followed
• Setting up closures with adequate signage barricading and cones lane markings
• Safely maintain and monitor all closures
• Removing and relocating traffic equipment as needed
• Performing flagging activities to safely direct vehicles heavy equipment and foot traffic for the safety of road users and work crews in a construction environment
• Completing daily traffic inspections and reports
• Safely driving the buffer truck

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in traffic control in a busy high-traffic environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as part of a team and multitask within time constraints
• Physically capable of standing for long durations moving traffic equipment and working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean 3-year drivers abstract
• Flagger training certificate preferred
• CSTS-2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications (training provided if needed)

Work Conditions

• Monday to Friday 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (evenings and weekends free)
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions year-round
