Job Summary

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Nashville TN/On-Site

Duration: 9 month Contract

This position will work Sunday through Thursday 7:00 -3:30 and will be housed in our Newborn Screening section of the laboratory.

One year of professional full-time experience in laboratory work is required.

This is a Laboratory Technician position where a key part of the job will be data entry and accessioning. An employee in this class performs a variety of routine assignments such as:

preparation of biological media (petri dish plates tubed media and etc.)
laboratory reagents and chemical solution preparation (water blanks pH standards acid/base solutions stains and etc.)
glassware washing
equipment maintenance and readiness
warehouse receiving
specimen receipt and accessioning
procedures under minimal supervision all in support of the laboratory.
Accessioning and supporting Scientists run their tests.
Print Barcode labels
Data entry from reports of testing results.
