Job Summary

Our client an international company providing integrated engineering construction and mining services is seeking to hire a Site Accountant.

Responsibilities:

Perform and oversee Finance and Accounting (F&A) functions to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial information for projects
Monitor day-to-day F&A operations for projects focusing on:

Revenue estimates (including production data)
Major subcontractor and supplier costs
Accounts receivable (A/R) collection and status
Contingencies risks and opportunities
Other project-related costs

Manage invoicing processes including:

Monitoring variation claims
Rise and fall billing
Ensuring all claims are submitted to the client in accordance with contract terms
Tracking cash payments received from clients

Identify financial aspects within contractual clauses (e.g. implications of damages billing terms and other finance-related provisions) and provide recommendations new concepts or feedback where applicable.
Ensure completion of all F&A requirements for the setup of new project accounts.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelors degree in any discipline
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Willingness to work overtime when required to meet reporting deadlines
Good computer skills with at least intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with accounting systems
Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Fluency in English (spoken and written) will be an advantage
