Your Mission

We are seeking a dynamic leader who embodies a mix of leadership skills operational excellence negotiation and collaboration. As Commercial Manager of North East Spain you will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of Glovo in Catalonia & Balearics the biggest region nationally.

Your role will involve supporting the Head of the Region in setting the commercial strategy leading a high-performing team of Account Managers and building strong collaboration with partners.

The Journey

Team Management and Leadership

  • Full Autonomy: Lead manage and develop a high-performing team of up to 6 Account Managers including hiring promoting and dismissing team members as needed.
  • Performance Culture: Establish goals track performance to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Talent Development: Actively contribute to the teams development. Coach motivate and handle performance to ensure the team is engaged retained and empowered to make a difference.

Partnership Development

  • Relationship Building: Build and nurture strong relationships with key partnersincluding top restaurants retail chains and local businessesto drive shared growth.
  • Partner Retention: Maintain the health of top accounts by putting in place operational processes and commercial initiatives that promote recurring business.
  • Strategy Execution: Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow our presence in the Northeast region of Spain.

Project Management

  • Strategic Growth: Lead strategic projects to drive growth in your territory from conception to launch.
  • Efficiency: Define and implement efficiency plans to improve how Account Managers manage relationships with their assigned partners.
  • Process Optimization: Drive process improvements by mapping changes setting clear targets and introducing new workflows to optimize performance and partner satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing operations and finance teams to ensure flawless execution and a strong team dynamic.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to extract actionable insights inform decision-making and identify new growth opportunities.

You Have

Experience & Background

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Strategy or Big Tech environments.
  • Native fluency in Spanish and Catalan with excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong Plus: Experience in FMCG food-hospitality or on-demand delivery.

Skills & Competencies

  • Negotiation: Proven track record of negotiating complex large-scale contracts and successfully managing relationships with C-level executives.
  • Business Acumen: Strong ability to understand empathize with and anticipate clients business models challenges and objectives.
  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills; comfortable working with data to drive key business insights.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated management experience preferably with teams of up to 8 full-time employees.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to lead strategic projects (from conception to launch) and drive process improvements ensuring efficiency and goal alignment across the team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent ability to build and nurture strong relationships with key internal teams (Marketing Operations Finance) and external partners (top local restaurants) to ensure flawless execution and shared success.
