Financial Accountant Top 10 Firm Limerick

Our client a leading professional services firm in Ireland with over 600 staff based in Dublin Galway and Limerick is seeking to expand its Financial Accounting & Outsourcing Services Division. As an internationally integrated partnership our client operates in over 95 countries and territories around the world and draws on the expertise of over 47000 professionals to assist clients of all sizes at every stage in their development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accounting financial reporting and compliance services to clients in various sectors including manufacturing distribution retail financial services professional services and public sector. They will be tasked with preparing statutory financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) FRS 101 FRS 102 or FRS 102 1A consolidated financial statements and converting financial statements to local GAAP.

Main Responsibilities

Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) FRS 101 FRS 102 or FRS 102 1A consolidated financial statements and converting financial statements to local GAAP
Liaise with clients and other stakeholders
Ad hoc client projects
Supervise junior team members
Manage and oversee all areas of accounts preparation for sole traders partnerships companies to partner review stage
Preparation of draft tax returns for review preparation of statutory returns for review
Assist partners on projects/client assignments
Provide support to trainees for their professional training and technical development
Deal internally with all departments involved in your particular cases i.e. audit tax or advisory to ensure efficiencies

About you

Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA
Professional large audit practice experience
Excellent knowledge of FRS 101 FRS 102 FRS 102 Section 1A IFRS and Companies Act 2014
Experience of consolidation preparation
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work effectively to deadlines
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced MS Excel skills
