Were seeking someone who can take ownership of our roading asset data management practices and drive continuous improvement across our operations in New Zealand.

Our ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Thinkprojects Asset & Work Manager (AWM formerly RAMM) software and a working understanding of the roading industrys Asset Management Data Standard (AMDS). Youll use these skills to support users ensure consistent high-quality data practices and delivery to asset owners and stay current with system and standards updates to keep processes and training materials relevant.

The scope of this role covers AWM dispatches and maintenance cost data as well as asset inventory updates. Were also open to considering an experienced Business Analyst with experience of quickly mastering complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain best practice processes for managing asset data in alignment with organisational standards
  • Proactively monitor updates to AWM and AMDS taking initiative to incorporate relevant changes into internal processes and guidance
  • Provide training advice and troubleshooting support to users of asset management systems
  • Review data deliverables and collaborate with internal teams to ensure asset data processes are understood and consistently applied
  • Communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Monitor system usage and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Engage with external capital project teams and external organisations to capture and load asset inventory data
  • Support contract teams to identify and undertake data improvement initiatives
  • Identifying root causes of inefficiencies and implementing resulting changes in process

  • Internal: Maintenance and Operations Teams Engineering Solutions colleagues
  • External: Road Controlling Authorities Thinkproject (software vendor) Capital project teams Contract teams

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with AWM or 3 years in a Business Analyst role with similar responsibilities
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to train support and engage users across varying levels of technical understanding
  • Ability to develop and document process improvements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to constructively challenge existing processes and identify root causes of inefficiencies
  • Experience supporting users in technical or operational environments
  • Strong working knowledge of AMDS highly desirable
