Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for supervising the daily operation of multiple attractions and provides direction coaching and development to hourly Team Members. Uses analytical skills to ensure that the assigned venues meet departmental standards for Guest and Team Member satisfaction and financial goals while always maintaining the highest safety standards. Facilitates the hiring training and scheduling of hourly Team Members and supports seasonal initiatives and special events.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for all facets of Attraction Operations including: Guest Service ride safety capacity training staffing and budgeting. Partners with various departments such as Technical Services Engineering Facilities Entertainment etc. to ensure departmental goals are met. Responsible for Guest safety by reviewing trends and/or incidents. Proactively drives revisions/improvements to safety practices procedures and documents. Ensures proper safety compliance and training for all hourly Team Members.
  • Oversees the daily operation of multiple rides attractions shows and water and dry play areas. Ensures labor goals efficiencies safety and quality standards are being met and addressed consistently. Approves weekly schedules for distribution to Team Members and ensures labor optimization. Effectively handles and properly reports any incidents Team Member/Guest issues and operational deficiencies. Plans for and efficiently executes events and requests made by other departments.
  • Responsible for hiring training coaching and developing all hourly Attractions Team Members. Establishes initiatives and ensures Supervisors are executing those initiatives to increase Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) and Guest Satisfaction (GSAT) according to plan/strategy. Supports Supervisors in the development coaching performance management and counseling of hourly Team Leads and Attractions Attendants.
  • Responsible for providing department duty manager coverage for an assigned area and/or all of Universal Kids Resorts theme park. Duties will include responding to ride evacuations downtimes escalated guest issues weather condition decisions and making the proper notifications to Universal Kids Resort leadership. Oversees attractions projects initiatives cross-training programs and sustainment efforts.
  • Enforces department policies and procedures inclusive of training and safety while working with the Manager to identify develop and document new departmental policies and procedures. Ensures proper training programs are developed implemented and maintained and collaborates on seasonal hiring initiatives as necessary. Assists with labor budgets and labor optimization through effective scheduling and seasonal closure coverage.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Supervises a Non-Exempt team

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • At times this individual may cover an area with multiple venues depending on scheduling and business needs. This individual will manage daily labor budgets and is responsible for the safe efficient and friendly operation of the venues daily as well as the safety of the Team Members who work at these venues.
  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule based on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities (KSAs) required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maximize efficiency and working procedures.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of attractions hospitality or theme park operations with 1 years of supervisory experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
