The purpose of the English 3D Implementation Team is to advance the implementation of English 3D and to strengthen evidence-based instructional practices in English language development. This team will ensure consistent implementation of English 3D Grades 6-8 lead Common Planning Time (CPT) develop model lessons and promote effective instructional routines for multilingual learners. The team will be made up of 5 ESL teachers (preferably from different schools) and 1 English Language Acquisition : The primary objective of the English 3D Implementation Team is to provide support that empowers educators to implement English 3D intentionally and with a student-centered lens and to strengthen research-based ESL instructional routines that support multilingual learners academic language Qualifications:Experience in effective ESL instruction Grades of English 3D and its instructional participating in steering committees writing WIDA-aligned curriculum and/or developing lesson plans with corresponding content and language to collaborate effectively with Grades 6-8 colleagues to ensure equitable access to high-quality curriculum and instruction and to meet to develop and deliver professional development to fellow ESL Requirements: Attend monthly afterschool meetings where department leaders will provide resources and training to bring back to their schools. (approximately 1 hour per month)This team of ESL teachers will conduct professional development sessions for other ESL teachers in their schools (CPT) and during department meetings focusing on implementing English 3D and improving ESL and offer feedback on English 3D components assessments grading and pacing to support consistent the integration of instructional routines outlined in English 3D such as oral cloze reading routine response frames and partner/group interactions This team will build a districtwide ESL resource bank featuring model lesson plans with content and language objectives proficiency appropriate scaffolding and targeted instructional routines. (approximately 1.5 hours per month)Communicate and collaborate with K-8 Department Head of Bilingual Jennifer Hunter Meeting Dates:Specific dates identified once the committee is assembled (Wednesdays)Funding Source: Pending FundingCompensation: Teachers will receive a stipend of $800 for the school year 25/26 reflecting approximately 20 hours of work (October May) outside of the contractual day and completion of deliverables. Teachers will also receive PDPs for facilitating trainings/PD/CPT.
