Job Summary
Job Title: 6G Multi Welder
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and certified 6G Multi Welder to perform high-quality welds in challenging positions using multiple welding techniques (SMAW GTAW MIG etc.). The ideal candidate should demonstrate precision consistency and expertise in 6G pipe welding particularly for critical projects in industrial and high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform 6G position welding on pipes and structural components using SMAW GTAW and MIG processes.
Interpret blueprints technical drawings and welding symbols accurately.
Conduct welding on various materials including carbon steel stainless steel and alloy pipes.
Ensure weld quality meets ASME / AWS / ISO standards through self-inspection and NDT support.
Set up and calibrate welding equipment and tools based on project specifications.
Follow safety protocols use PPE and maintain a hazard-free work area.
Collaborate with fabricators fitters and supervisors to ensure timely and precise project execution.
Maintain records of work performed materials used and time taken per job.
Participate in pre-weld and post-weld inspections as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Welding or related trade from a recognized institution.
Valid 6G welding certification from a recognized third-party authority (e.g. ASME/AWS/CSWIP).
Minimum 3 5 years of practical experience in 6G welding roles across industrial projects.
Key Skills Required:
Expertise in SMAW GTAW (TIG) MIG welding techniques.
Strong understanding of welding metallurgy and filler materials.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments and tight spaces.
Knowledge of welding defect identification and rectification.
Familiarity with NDT processes like radiography ultrasonic testing and dye-penetrant inspection.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
