Job Summary
A boutique professional services firm specializing in accountancy and audits based in Naxxar is currently seeking an Accountant to join their team.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to gain experience across a variety of clients and industries while developing their accounting skills.
Salary: Up to 35K benefits
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries
- Assist in preparing financial statements and accounting reports
- Record journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts
- Perform bank reconciliations and verify the accuracy of financial data
- Support senior staff during audits and tax preparations
- Maintain organized documentation and proper filing of accounting records
Education Skills and Experience
- ACCA qualified or currently pursuing
- 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of Maltese VAT and Income Tax regulations
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
