Job Summary

Join a dynamic IT infrastructure team in Brussels as an IT System Engineer where youll be responsible for ensuring the reliability performance and security of a complex hybrid server environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer experienced in managing both VMware and Windows Server systems with a focus on high availability and operational excellence.

Duration: Long-term assignment

Your Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the server environment with a focus on VMware and Windows Servers
Oversee backups using Veeam and ArcServe
Handle Incident Management and ensure timely resolution of issues
Maintain and update the CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
Set up and decommission servers as required
Perform daily maintenance of Windows and Linux environments

Skills & Experience Required

Incident Management & ITIL framework knowledge
Strong experience with VMware vSphere and VMware VDI
Proficiency in Windows Server administration
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux & Red Hat Satellite
Familiarity with Microsoft Terminal Server / RDS
Backup tools: Veeam Backup & Replication ArcServe Tivoli Storage Manager
Endpoint management with Symantec Endpoint Protection
Experience using ServiceNow for ITSM and CMDB management
