Data Architect (fmd)

Your Mission

As our Data Architect (f/m/d) you will take ownership of the design evolution and governance of hallo theos data infrastructure. You will define the blueprint for how data flows through our systems from ingestion to consumption and ensure our platform is scalable secure and built for growth. Your work will directly impact our ability to make fast data-driven decisions and deliver outstanding experiences for property managers tenants and internal teams alike.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the architectural roadmap for our data platform (e.g. BigQuery Airbyte dbt etc.)
• Define best practices for data modeling warehousing data governance and orchestration
• Ensure scalability reliability and cost-efficiency of our data infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers Analysts and Product teams to enable high-quality data products
• Define naming conventions data catalog structures and data lineage tracking
• Guide the transition from batch pipelines to event-based architectures
• Support compliance with GDPR and NIS2 regulations through architectural best practices
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools as the data stack evolves
• Act as a mentor for Data Engineers and support technical decision-making

Preferred Background

• Min. 3 years of experience in architecture roles (Engineering roles doesnt apply for the experience duration)
• Solid understanding of modern data stacks (e.g. GCP Snowflake BigQuery Airflow Airbyte dbt Kafka etc.)
• Proven experience designing scalable and secure data architectures in a production environment
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills (dimensional modeling Data Vault etc.)
• Hands-on experience with orchestration and transformation tools (Airflow dbt etc.)
• Experience with data classification at scale
• Knowledge of data governance metadata management and data cataloging
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code version control (Terraform) CI/CD pipelines
• Fluent in English; German is a big plus

Nice to Have

• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka Pub/Sub etc.)
• Knowledge of real estate proptech or ERP systems (e.g. Impower etg24 Domus Haufe PowerHaus)
• Background in building self-service analytics environments
• Experience with compliance frameworks like GDPR NIS2 or ISO 27001Why Join Us
