Background Information
  • The Senior Product Manager oversees product strategy planning and roadmap execution managing backlogs in an agile SDLC. They collaborate with software QA Dev Ops design and cross-functional teams at Ontario Health to deliver digital health solutions.

Must haves:
  1. Over 7 years as a Product Manager delivering web apps with full-stack JavaScript and cloud platforms managing product backlog and releases.
  2. 2 years building or overseeing AI/ML products.
  3. Skilled with RESTful APIs and OAuth 2.0.
  4. Bachelors in Business Engineering Computer Science or related field.
  5. Proficient in Confluence and JIRA.
  6. Experienced in agile product delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Works with the Product Management team in the definition of their Product Vision.
  • Synthesizes the product vision and high-level business requirements into functional user requirements.
  • Makes decisions where results have a critical impact across the organization requiring sophisticated solutions and long-term correction.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the product and its logical architecture.
  • Elicits requirements using a variety of formats and techniques including interviews document analysis workshops storyboards surveys site visits business process descriptions use cases scenarios event lists and competitive product analysis.
  • Leads requirements analysis and verification ensuring that requirement statements are complete consistent concise comprehensible feasible unambiguous and verifiable.
  • Documents Non-Functional requirements such as security privacy legal and maintainability.
  • Creates and manages the product backlog by maintaining knowledge of customer needs and industry trend.
  • Conducts User Research to identify and validate customer needs to reduce product development time and costly rework.
  • Leads sprint planning sessions to clarify the details of the sprint items and provide clear and concise acceptance criteria for user stories.
  • Acts as the authoritative source for all requirements.
  • Conducts impact analysis for the product in development to determine impact on internal and external stakeholders and systems.
  • Collaborates closely with the Software Development Quality Assurance DevOps and Experience Design teams in an agile fashion.
  • Conducts stakeholder analysis and develops communication plans for stakeholders to ensure buy-in and awareness of the product release.
  • Anticipates project bottlenecks and blockers in short term and long-term product roadmaps across the organization and not just their immediate department. Works with multiple departments across divisions to overcome these challenges.
  • Works independently with a low level of supervision and has the ability to determine when to escalate broader impacting decisions to management.
  • Provides excellent service to internal and external clients by identifying and meeting their needs and building and maintaining positive and effective working relationships.

Desired Skills:
  • Deep understanding of healthcare data standards and privacy regulations (HIPAA HL7 FHIR etc.).
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner and Scrum Master designation.
  • Experience with healthcare integration projects.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects from initiation to completion.

Required Skills:
  • Product strategy and vision: Ability to define a long-term vision align it with organization/program goals and translate it into a roadmap.
  • Formal requirements elicitation and analysis techniques.
  • AI/ML literacy: and nbsp;Understanding how AI can enhance product features.
  • API/Integration management: and nbsp;Familiarity with system integrations.
  • Excellent knowledge of SDLC.
  • Design thinking and UI/UX principles.
  • Agile and amp; scrum expertise: and nbsp;Strong command of agile methodologies sprint planning backlog grooming and iteration management.
  • Stakeholder management: and nbsp;Managing alignment across engineering design lines of business and leadership teams.
  • Knowledge of Confluence and JIRA.

  1. 7-10 years of experience with formal requirements elicitation and analysis techniques. 20 Points
  2. 7-10 years of experience in software development using an agile methodology. and nbsp;5 Points
  3. 7-10 years of experience owning and managing product backlog and releases. and nbsp;10 Points
  4. Experience working with full stack applications RESTful APIs OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect. and nbsp;20 Points
  5. Strong technical aptitude Understanding of how software applications are built (APIs databases cloud architecture mobile/web frameworks). and nbsp;20 Points
  6. Experience using AI/ML to drive product value to clients. and nbsp;10 Points
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and adapt to changing requirements. and nbsp;15 Points
Total evaluation criteria: 100 Points


Deliverables
Deliverables Include but not limited to:
  • The Senior Product Manager will oversee these key deliverables:
  1. Deliverable 1: Develop the product strategy roadmap and requirements for the Patient Summary Application aligned with PCIE Program Strategy.
  2. Deliverable 2: Launch the patient summary application per the established roadmap and requirements.
  3. Deliverable 3: Implement additional web apps or features to support the HALO framework and Patient Summary rollout.

Knowledge Transfer Details:
  • The resource will ensure full knowledge transfer is provided to the Ontario Health team before end of engagement. Some of this might occur at the end of the engagement but will also be shared as information is obtained/consolidated. Key deliverables will be shared with team.
  • The resource must provide all related documentation as part of knowledge transfer protocol. Documents will be reviewed by the appropriate leads and signed off by manager/director.
  • The resource will work collaboratively with the Ontario Health team throughout the assignment and ensure key deliverables milestones and documentation are shared.
  • A walkthrough of any demos development etc. will be required before the end of the engagement.
