Job Summary

About the Role

The Resilience Intern will provide technical and administrative support to the RECLAIM Project team in implementing activities that strengthen community resilience promote sustainable livelihoods and improve natural resource management in Chiredzi Mwenezi and Beitbridge districts. The intern will contribute to data collection documentation of project activities and coordination of field and learning events while gaining hands-on experience in resilience programming monitoring and evaluation and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with the projects technical officers and consortium partners the intern will enhance learning communication and operational efficiency in day-to-day project implementation.

What Youll Be Doing

The Resilience Intern role entails:

and Program Support

  • Support the collection collation and organization of field data related to resilience natural resource management and livelihood activities.
  • Assist in farmer groups mobilisation and sensitisation for meetings and trainings
  • Assist in monthly quarterly and annual report writing (IPTT Narrative reports Success Stories)
  • Participate in field monitoring visits and provide basic documentation support (notes photos attendance registers etc.).

and Logistics Support

  • Assists in organising and facilitating community relationships including Government line Ministries NGOs and private sector players at Ward level
  • Support coordination of partner and stakeholder meetings (preparing invites taking minutes compiling reports).
  • Help with logistical arrangements for workshops trainings and review meetings.
  • Follow up on small action items from meetings and update status logs.

Qualifications :

Applicants should have

  • A recent graduate bachelors degree in any of the following fields:
  1. Environmental Science or Natural Resource Management
  2. Agriculture Agribusiness or Rural Development
  3. Climate Change and Resilience Studies
  4. Development Studies Social Sciences or related disciplines.
  • Previous internship volunteer or field experience in development environment or livelihoods projects will be an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of resilience programming climate change adaptation or sustainable livelihoods concepts is desirable.
  • Good research writing and documentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under supervision.
  • Computer literacy especially in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data collection tools (e.g. KoboToolbox ODK) is an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage respectfully with community members and partners.
  • Demonstrated commitment to gender equality youth inclusion and environmental sustainability.
