Internal Role Opportunity
Hours per week: 15 hours per week with the potential to be blended with another role to make up a full-time complement.
Contract Type: Contract to start with the potential to become permanent based on needs and budget.
Location: This role will work out of our Materials Atelier.

About the Role
This role will support the organization as a member of the Materials and Sustainability Team. You will support our materials atelier with the inventory and accessibility of loose parts and materials. You will foster new and maintained connections with community members. You will support with increased professional learning opportunities around loose parts and loose materials.
Some accountabilities associated with this role:
- Support with keeping the loose materials inventory up to date
- Support the Materials Team with administration tasks
- Be a thinking partner alongside our Materials and Sustainability organizational lead in regards to loose parts and environments
- Supporting with planning Professional Learning at the atelier
- Support with building community connections
- Support with maintaining the atelier
- Support in picking up loose parts within our communities
- Lifting moving processing and sorting materials
Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience working with children and youth.
- Familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.
- Valid certifications including a Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check Standard First Aid and CPR Level C and updated immunization records.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- OR is currently pursuing or is interested in pursuing their ECE diploma.
- OR has an alternative childcare designation that is eligible for Directors Approval (i.e. Child and Youth Recreation and Leisure and Ontario Certified Teachers - Primary and Junior)
- Has strengths in technology and software systems to be able to support the Shopify system.
- Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Has a passion for loose parts and a keen eye for environments
- Has a Valid G drivers license and access to their own transportation
