Job Summary

The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a Site Work Control Manager to join our Site Work Control department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule based out of Central Facilities with every Friday off.

You will ensure the seamless coordination and scheduling of facility operations maintenance and project activities. You will be responsible for managing a team of specialists developing operational policies and ensuring compliance with established standards. You will report directly to the Sr. Manager of our Work Planning and Control department.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the planning of preventive predictive and corrective maintenance activities at the Idaho National Laboratory site facilities..
  • Ensure effective integration of ESH&Q Conduct of Operations and Conduct of Maintenance policies practices and procedures and the principles of ISMS into the work planning and control process.
  • Ensure that worker involvement hazard identification and mitigation feedback and improvement opportunities are integrated into the work control process.
  • Develop and monitor planner training professional development opportunities personnel performance goals and feedback and organization succession planning.
  • Responsible for the implementation and adherence to applicable DOE requirements in the Programs Maintenance Department maintenance program as presented in INL programs. Develop applicable organization performance metrics.
  • Monitor performance metric trends and act as necessary to correct adverse indicators and trends. Coordinate with other Site Programs organizations to prioritize maintenance planning activities for customer support.
  • Manage the activities of assigned Planning and Work Control department ensuring the effective coordination and scheduling of facility operations maintenance and project activities.
  • Manage train and motivate staff to meet unit targets and objectives. Manage employees that perform similar or related tasks. May supervise more than one shift or work unit and subordinate managers.
  • Responsible for developing and administering budgets schedules and performance standards for the organizational unit. Take actions to monitor and manage costs related to a section.
  • Receive assignments based on incremental objectives and defined processes. Monitor integrate and coordinate daily weekly or monthly activities.
  • Monitor activities to develop operational enhancements and be responsible for maintaining internal control schedule and quality adherence. Develop and manage routine operational plans.
  • Participate in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the business unit.
  • Ensure quality record keeping and compliance.
  • Recommend changes to sub-unit unit or discipline policies. Identify troubleshoot or resolve escalated problems working on issues of moderate to large scope/complexity.
  • Interact with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups. Interaction requires interpreting and explaining information to audiences familiar with the subject.
  • Gain cooperation of others conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or programs.
  • First or second level of management. Typically reports to Sr. Manager or Director.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and 9 years of relevant experience a Masters degree and 6 years of relevant experience an Associates degree and 11 years of experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and 15 years of relevant experience.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy L clearance which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information:

  • The target pay range for this position is $99627 - $153664 annually. The full pay range is $91812 - $220332. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education relevant experience and other credentials.
  • TDP - Testing Designated Position: You will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this classification the employee is frequently required to stand walk sit stoop kneel bend and work in an office and field/laboratory environment. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type handle materials manipulate tools and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with the public is required.
