Job Summary

Your new role

In this key role you will help people in Ballarat who are homeless and sleeping outside by using an Assertive Outreach approach. The goal is to connect with individuals build trust and support them in finding long-term safe housing.

Support is provided in a way that respects each persons comfort level and needs.

Many people facing homelessness also deal with other challenges so this program offers tailored support to help them move forward. It focuses on social inclusion and understands that housing issues often come with other problems. The role may sometimes require working outside regular business hours.

Your skills and experience
  • Minimum Diploma of Welfare or other relevant tertiary qualifications experience and/or knowledge of the welfare sector.
  • Current drivers licence.
