Responsibilities:
- Support Key Driver Identification (KDI) peptone/hydrolysate project teams
- Create and use batch records to formulate powder and liquid pilot material
- Accurately weigh and measure chemicals for formulation experiments.
- Completeapprovedstudyplans to assess physical and biological performance of the mediaand peptones
- Work closely with lab manager to order chemicals as needed to ensure an adequate supply for ongoing projects.
- Dispose of expired or unused materials according to safety and environmental regulations
- Regularly update the chemical inventory database to reflect new acquisitions usage and disposal of chemicals
- Ensure pilot equipment and rooms are well maintained
- Ensure all equipment is clean calibrated and in proper working condition before use.
- Conduct experiments analyze data and suggest next experimental steps to the technical project leader
- Identify areas for improvement and innovation for the KDI and Media Format programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new methodologies and technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelorsdegree (Biology Chemistry Biochemistry Biotechnology/Biomedical engineering or other related field).
- 1 years of experience with cell culture media and/or peptones/hydrolysates
- Knowledge and experience with small scale cell culture techniques
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced research environment and deliver detailed results
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $58600.00$78000.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on which includes:
