Public Health Knowledge and Intelligence Analyst ASC Specialist
Fixed term for 2 years
As an analyst in our Public Health team you will be part of our huge ambitions for Wirral. Improving the health and wellbeing of our population is a major priority for us and we are seeking to increase our analytical capacity to help us achieve our aims.
About the Role
This post is part of the Public Health Research and Intelligence Team who provide intelligence and insight to help inform and address our priority programmes of work. You will work across the Council and with external stakeholders to lead on the provision of specialist public health analytical input into a programme of work designed to understand and mitigate the rising trend in demand for adult social care services.
Reporting to the Senior Public Health Knowledge and Intelligence Specialist and working closely with the Consultant in Public Health and colleagues in Adult Social Care and local NHS the post-holder will establish the best approach for delivering a programme of work which will enable evidence-based recommendations for addressing demand for adult social care to be made.
About the Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who has good knowledge of health and care data advanced public health analytical skills and problem-solving capacity. The successful candidate will be able to undertake appropriate epidemiological analyses to assess and describe current patterns of health and drivers of demand for adult social care services and model and forecast future trends. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to convey complex information in an accessible and effective way. You will be educated to degree level and have substantial experience of undertaking specialist and complex analyses to inform decision-making. Whilst not essential experience of working with adult social care data would be advantageous.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and forward-thinking individual to help develop and shape a programme of work that will involve collaborative working with NHS colleagues Adult Social Care and local academic partners.
This post is subject to our hybrid working approach meaning a mix of working at home/remotely with presence in the office for 2 days per week.
