Come be a part of our growing company where you can thrive and make an impact by working as a Food Safety Compliance Specialist responsible to support and strengthen the companys farm food safety programs by ensuring compliance with the Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement (LGMA) Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) audit schemes the FSMA Produce Safety Rule and customer requirements. This position functions as a professional compliance specialist under the guidance of the Farming Food Safety Manager and is responsible for ensuring compliance through technical expertise training and audit readiness. The role requires independent judgment strong regulatory knowledge and the ability to work across multiple farming operations. What You Will Need:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food safety compliance auditing or quality assurance within agriculture or fresh produce.
- Demonstrated experience in creating updating and implementing food safety programs.
- Knowledge of GAPs GFSI audit schemes FSMA Produce Safety Rule and LGMA.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments and resolve non-conformances.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train mentor and collaborate across diverse teams.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with compliance or data management systems a plus.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision while working under manager direction.
- Employee may be required to work overtime nights weekends and holidays if needed.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to including some evenings and weekend travel.
- Must work in the Coachella area for approximately five months out of the year during entire winter harvest season. (Housing or housing allowance is provided by the company). No vacation (PTO) will be allowed during this time and excessive unexcused absences will result in either end of assignment or transfer back to Lamont.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish.
- Must have a valid drivers license with a clean DMV driving record
- Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen

- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.
