Job Summary
Receive store issue and track tools consumables and equipment used in maintenance or construction activities.
Ensure all tools are in working condition clean and calibrated (where applicable) before issuing.
Maintain accurate tool inventory records using logbooks or electronic systems.
Tag label and organize tools in proper storage areas for easy identification and retrieval.
Conduct regular physical inventory checks and report discrepancies.
Identify damaged or missing tools and report to the supervisor for replacement or repair.
Coordinate with technicians and supervisors to ensure timely availability of required tools.
Follow proper tool issuance procedures including tracking user details and return dates.
Ensure the tool store is clean organized and compliant with safety standards.
Assist in preparing reports for tool usage inventory levels and equipment maintenance schedules.
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or ITI certification in mechanical/electrical trade or equivalent.
Training in storekeeping or inventory management (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 24 years of experience as a Tool Store Technician or in a similar role.
Experience in oil & gas construction or industrial maintenance environments is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of hand tools power tools measuring instruments and lifting gear.
Basic understanding of tool calibration maintenance and safety handling.
Familiarity with inventory control systems (manual or digital).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
