About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and passionate educator to lead our Mathematics department as Head of Learning Area Mathematics. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Mathematics education in a dynamic and supportive Christian learning community.

The successful candidate will exemplify pedagogical expertise strategic leadership and a deep commitment to student achievement. As HoLA you will lead a team of dedicated teachers foster a culture of academic excellence and ensure that teaching and learning is innovative inclusive and aligned with both College values and state educational standards.

You will be a key contributor to the Secondary Leadership Team mentoring staff driving curriculum development and modelling ethical leadership in all aspects of school life.

Position Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and Mathematics teaching.
• Proven leadership experience or capacity for leadership in curriculum development mentoring and staff management.
• Strong knowledge of Western Australian Curriculum and assessment standards.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire lead and motivate others in pursuit of excellence.

• Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board Principal staff students and parents.
• Commitment to personal best practice.
• Ensure decisions are impartial fact-based and fair.
• Model appropriate and proper channels of communication.
• Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos.
• Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
• Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the Colleges values and policies.

Possession of the following certifications:

• National Police Clearance
• Working with Children Check
• First Aid Certificate
