Job Summary

JOB TITLE: Evaporator Tech

WAGE RANGE: $16.50 per hour (plus $2/hr. Night Shift Premium if applicable)

DEPARTMENT: Production Forrester Rd.

JOB GRADE: 14

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

Job summary:

Monitor and Operate evaporators based on performance data to maintain optimum capacity at all times.

Deliverables:

Produce syrup that is in range of our production goals and / or as directed.

Job Requirements:

Must become qualified in the following within one months time from hire date:

Chemical training Lock out Tag out process computer data entry and process testing.
High-level communications skills both verbal and written
Have the ability to: trouble shoot and assist with repairs understand system flow trace flow path monitor process set points react to system alarms record and review data interpret data collected work flexible workdays and work hours depending on demands of the company or process work holidays and weekends on a rotating shift schedule.

Job Duties:Essential Functions-

Actively monitor all control points.
Responsible for adjusting settings or other established parameters based on data.
Maintain adequate level of infusion syrup in storage tanks recording BRIX/level data in DAQ.
Active testing and reporting BRIX and Acid data.
Responsible for all startup and shut down.
Responsible for CIP of systems and associated equipment. Record data while running CIP; use data to determine if CIP has been successful.
Remain in work cell at all times during the assigned shift.
Report out of range data and system alarms to System Technician with corrective action taken.

Additional responsibilities:

Keep floor area and equipment neat and clean assist as needed in cleaning the process line.
Store non-essential equipment properly
Monitor all areas of the process for spills and possible loading discharge to the drains.
Other duties assigned by the System Technician

Physical Requirements:

Able to use ladders working on elevated platforms and working at different elevations.

Must be able to see/differentiate all primary colors.

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
