Position Summary:
We are looking for an Valve Applications Engineer with expertise in flow control and fluid handling systems. This role is customer-facing and highly technical focusing on product application equipment selection and performance optimization. You will collaborate across engineering sales and operations teams to deliver solutions that align with customer requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers and internal teams.
- Recommend flow control products based on specifications and operating conditions.
- Interpret customer requirements and prepare accurate technical quotations.
- Provide guidance on product performance material selection and compliance with standards.
- Work with engineering quality and sales to resolve technical challenges.
- Review and manage technical documentation including drawings and certifications.
- Provide training on product knowledge and best practices in applications.
- Stay current with relevant codes and standards (ASME ANSI API ISO MSS).
- Support modifications and custom solutions to ensure design intent is achieved.
- Conduct competitor product analysis and monitor industry trends.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of industrial valves and flow control equipment (butterfly ball gate globe check knife gate etc.).
- Familiarity with materials of construction and applicable standards.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD (or willingness to learn).
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented proactive and able to work independently.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced collaborative setting.
- Background check and drug screening required.
