Basic Function: | Serve as a key conduit of information and collaboration to ensure that donor-based scholarships and KSU Foundation funds are utilized according to the wishes of the donors which enhances the donors trust confidence and affinity for Kent State University. Manage systems for creation of donor agreements. Reports to Senior Director Donor Engagement. |

Examples of Duties: | Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following: Oversee and manage the development approval routing and tracking of all donor agreements. Manage pricing agreements inventory and tracking of all naming opportunities across the university in partnership with Office of University Architect. Prepare naming opportunity documents for Kent State University Board of Trustees approval including drafting resolutions information items and other donor communications. Request review and analyze endowment data to write draft and produce annual endowment reports and respond to related donor questions. Prepare fund stewardship reports for college/unit leadership. Initiate and manage processes to strategically analyze KSU Foundation funds with careful attention to underutilized funds. Review and update KSU Foundation funds to ensure compliance with all legal requirements. Serve as the liaison with the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid to ensure donor intent is honored and to monitor fund usage and unspent balances. In partnership with the KSU Foundation conduct an annual review of all Founders Scholarships and provide a report to the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid detailing new scholarships available for award along with criteria and balances. Develop and facilitate a training program for scholarship administrators across the university system incorporating content from the KSU Foundation and the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. Address questions and concerns related to donor engagement and stewardship. Provide direct supervision of unclassified staff. Perform related duties as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Bachelors Degree in business marketing communications education or a relevant field is required. Four years of progressively responsible donor relations stewardship or related experience is required. Must be able to occasionally work evenings and weekends. *NOTE - part time (50%) experience would need to be doubled. Or A combination of education training and experience equivalent to eight years of progressively responsible experience in donor relations stewardship or related experience. Must be able to occasionally work evenings and weekends. License/Certification: Knowledge Of: Donor relations and stewardship principles and best practices * Skill In: Written verbal and interpersonal communication with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of university / external constituents * Ability To: Direct others and manage projects * |
