What Youll Do
In this role youll operate within ISO 5 and ISO 7 cleanrooms using personal respirator hood PPE daily to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Youll perform preventive maintenance (PMs) calibrations and servicing across a variety of advanced systems and instruments. Your work will include maintaining and troubleshooting equipment such as:
Vision systems
Conveyors
Liquid filling machines
Shrink wrappers
Check weighers
Laboratory instruments
Robots
Manufacturing automation systems
Youll also:
Oversee and coordinate contractors field service engineers (FSEs) and service providers.
Manage your own workload through the CMMS while ensuring minimal downtime.
Conduct equipment changeovers lead PPI and CI projects and apply SCRUM methodologies for planning and scheduling.
Support and mentor apprentice engineers to help grow future talent.
Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and EHS standards.
Your proactive approach will help drive uptime improve processes and enhance overall equipment efficiency.
What You Bring
A proven track record working in ISO13485-certified or other regulated environments.
Multi-skilled expertise across electrical and mechanical engineering.
Strong understanding of pneumatics and PLC systems (robotics and automation experience desirable).
Hands-on experience with Life Science instruments lab automation and manufacturing machinery.
Competence in CMMS systems and a focus on continuous improvement process optimization and cost reduction.
Clear career goals adaptability and a passion for learning new technologies.
Education & Experience
Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds BTEC NVQ Level 3).
Minimum HNC qualification in engineering (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated experience post-HNC in a manufacturing or life sciences environment.
Work Environment
