A hotel maintenance technicians job description includesperforming repairs performing preventative maintenance and ensuring the physical infrastructure of a hotel is safe and well-maintained. Key responsibilities involve troubleshooting and fixing plumbing electrical and HVAC issues addressing guest maintenance requests and maintaining both guest areas and equipment. They also manage inventory keep logs and may assist with painting carpentry and grounds keeping.

Repairs:Respond to urgent repair requests from guests and staff by fixing issues in guest rooms and public areas. This includes repairing plumbing electrical systems and general items like furniture and fixtures.
Preventative maintenance:Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment such as HVAC systems lighting and other building systems to prevent future problems and ensure optimal efficiency.
General upkeep:Perform tasks such as painting minor carpentry drywall repair and cleaning common areas hallways and grounds including parking lots and sidewalks.
Guest services:Address guest inquiries and resolve maintenance-related issues in a timely and friendly manner.
Safety and compliance:Adhere to safety practices and report any unsafe conditions. They may also be involved in safety system checks and ensuring the hotel complies with health and safety regulations.

Schedule: Full-time: 5 days per week 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

Experience in general maintenance including plumbing painting and light electrical work preferred.
Must be reliable and able to handle work orders promptly.
Technical skills:A strong aptitude for diagnosing and fixing mechanical electrical and plumbing problems.
Physical stamina:The role requires physical labor including climbing ladders lifting heavy items and working in tight spaces.
Problem-solving:The ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to a wide range of issues.

Organization:The ability to manage multiple requests maintain inventory and keep detailed logs and records.
