The Product Compliance Manager ensures the organization meets all necessary product compliance requirements certifications and regulatory standards. This role focuses on streamlining compliance processes maintaining accurate documentation and supporting cross-functional teams to integrate compliance into product design development and manufacturing. Experience with electronic products and managing regulatory certifications is highly valued.
Duties:
Including but not limited to:
- Establish department processes to secure and maintain all required compliance certifications and approvals.
- Collaborate with R&D engineering manufacturing and quality teams to integrate compliance requirements into product design and development.
- Ensure regulatory certifications (e.g. UL NOM) are obtained and maintained.
- Maintain comprehensive compliance documentation including test reports declarations of conformity and certification records.
- Partner with leadership to define department goals set priorities and align compliance strategy with overall business objectives.
- Provide guidance coaching and performance evaluations to develop a high-performing compliance team.
- Oversee department budget planning and allocate resources effectively.
- Stay current with global regulations standards and industry trends; communicate changes and proactively adjust compliance strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or a relevant technical field.
- 10 years of experience with product compliance issues and processes.
- 10 years of experience working with regulatory and certification agencies.
- Experience with electronic products strongly preferred.
- Management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Self-directed motivated and able to work effectively across functions and organizational levels.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills attention to detail and ability to develop processes and procedures.
