Job Summary
Position Title: Histotechnologist
Location: Atlanta GA 30342 (No local candidates within 50 miles.)
Job Type: Contract Onsite
Shift: Night Shift 8:00 PM 4:30 AM MondayFriday 8 hours/day 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $1400$1500/week
Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Histotechnologistfor an exciting job in Atlanta GA.
Responsibilities:
Receive and accession surgical specimens.
Perform tissue processing embedding microtomy and staining procedures.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and reagents.
Collaborate with Pathology Cytology and IHC departments to ensure accurate workflow.
Collect tissue blocks from Pathologist Assistants and process according to protocols.
Adhere to all quality assurance and safety standards.
Maintain specimen integrity and accurate documentation throughout processing.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Histology or Pathology Laboratory.
ASCP Certification (HT or HLT).
Completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program or Associates degree in chemical physical or biological sciences.
Preferred:
Experience in high-volume hospital or clinical pathology settings.
Familiarity with Cerner LIS.
