Your Impact
As a key member of Axons Global Security Team you will lead and elevate physical security operations for a primary Axon campus with the potential to expand oversight to multiple locations as the organization continues to grow. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our people property and visitors while fostering a culture of trust vigilance and this role youll bridge tactical execution with strategic planning managing daily operations developing your team and helping shape the future of Axons global security posture.
What Youll Do
- Lead and manage all day-to-day physical security operations for your assigned campus.
- Supervise mentor and develop a team of security professionals ensuring high performance professionalism and accountability.
- Oversee staffing schedules to ensure consistent coverage and efficient alignment of responsibilities.
- Create and maintain post orders standard operating procedures and incident response guidelines.
- Partner with the Global Security leadership team to conduct risk assessments implement mitigation strategies and enhance security readiness.
- Oversee operation and optimization of security technologies including CCTV access control visitor management and intrusion detection systems.
- Review and approve incident reports ensuring completeness accuracy and appropriate follow-up.
- Coordinate with GSOC and Emergency Response teams during incidents drills or escalations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Facilities HR IT and other stakeholders to support business continuity crisis management and workplace safety.
- Analyze data security metrics and incident trends to drive operational excellence and program improvements.
- Build and maintain relationships with local law enforcement emergency services and community partners.
- Serve as an on-call leader for critical incidents or emergencies outside of regular hours.
- Support and contribute to regional and global security initiatives driving continuous improvement and innovation within the department.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Security Management or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate or campus security including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with enterprise-level CCTV access control and security technology platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills capable of interacting effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage crises calmly and decisively making sound decisions under pressure.
- Experience developing and improving security processes and programs through data-driven analysis.
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends or on-call shifts as required by business needs.
- A positive forward-looking mindset someone who aims far challenges the status quo and contributes innovative ideas that make Axon safer and stronger.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional security certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) PSP (Physical Security Professional) CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or CTAP (Certified Threat Assessment Professional).
- Experience managing or supporting multi-site operations.
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness crisis management and business continuity planning.
- Experience partnering with law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level security software risk management tools and reporting platforms.
- Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement and innovation within a corporate security environment.
