Job Summary
Provides leadership oversight and coordination for development and implementation of courses and short-term continuing education and workforce training programs for the college.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Leads the development and delivery of continuing education workforce training programs including feasibility studies to assess program need and market demand. Works collaboratively with local regional state and federal organizations to develop and implement programs for economic stimulus for the region. Creates and administers programs that lead to acceleration of job readiness in response to workforce needs. Collaborates with other college divisions to identify and develop short-term training programs with seamless transitions into certificate and associate degree programs. Assists in the identification and development of comprehensive grant proposals and/or applications and in the implementation and monitoring of grant funds received. Works collaboratively with division staff to develop and monitor budgets and enrollment projections in collaboration with the Vice President. Assists with the development implementation and monitoring of related standard operating procedures. Assists with the process for systematic review and evaluation of the Workforce Training and Continuing Education division including the development and monitoring of outcomes and plans of action in alignment with the TSC Strategic Plan. Actively recruits students for WTCE courses and short-term programs. Identifies and assists with the recruitment of industry adjunct instructors and/or trainers. Seeks sponsorships and scholarships for WTCE students from local and regional organizations. Identifies testing certifications and licensures needed and explores possibility of establishing testing center. Establishes profit-based cost model for pricing of courses. Attends the workplace regularly reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite. Completes duties and responsibilities in compliance with college standards policies and guidelines. Uses interpersonal skills and makes sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed between coworkers the supervisory chain faculty staff students and customers. Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored by the Texas Southmost College ( TSC ). Supports the values and institutional goals as defined in the Colleges Strategic Plan. Working hours may include evenings holidays or weekends depending on deadline requirements and special events. Performs other duties as assigned.
