Job Summary
We are now accepting resumes/applications for an Plumber Helpers for the Houma LA and surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:
- Job Scope:
- Assemble install maintain repair and pressure test all pipes fittings and fixtures of heating water drainage sprinkler and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Hotel fixture removal and replacement with some rerough-in required
- Position Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of plumbing
- Must be able to pass drug screen
- Must have own PPE (hard hat steel toes safety glasses gloves)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work after hours over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
- Required Skills:
- Good working knowledge of water supply heating and ventilation systems.
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Physical dexterity.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to work independently efficiently
- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting plumber
- Reading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.
- Installing maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Fitting and repairing various household appliances.
- Cutting welding and assembling pipes tubes fittings and fixtures.
- Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety functionality and code compliance.
- Mange housekeeping activities when requested.
- Maintain the work area clean safe and organized.
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
- Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
- Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
- Practicesafety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
- Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
- Report safety hazards quality and production issues to management immediately
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift objectsup to 60 LBS
- Must be able to stand bend stoop squat or kneel regularly as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
- Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
- Ability to work in cramped and/or confined spaces when required
- Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust dirt and various other debris metal and paint fumes gases
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to high precarious places and outside weather conditions
- The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock

- Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)
- 10-12 Hour Days (With weather permitting)
