We started out in 2015 as INGs software development hub then steadily expanded our range to include more services and competencies. Now we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities and 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐣-𝐍𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐜𝐚.

The Mission
Payment & Settlement Services (PSS) is a professional service provider designing building and operating high quality and efficient payment settlement and open banking services. We leverage our scalable payments target stack and the expertise of our people to deliver these services.
SEPA our SEPA Credit Transfer service provides the processing of euro payments from technical solution to product development and operational activities for regular and instant payments. The Real Time Payments Engine relies on SEPA teams in RO to pre-process transactions reconciliation files and settlement bookings.
Your day to day
Even if youll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in the office your day will be quite similar when it comes to tasks. The team youll be working in is focused on supporting the whole SEPA area by:
Enhancing maintaining and standardizing libraries used across SEPA area
creating comprehensive guides and documentation for development process
supporting SEPA teams with technical migrations and onboarding processes
You will contribute by:
Coding: investigate implement or enhance features from your teams backlog
Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members and teams across the area
User Stories: research refine and implement user stories derived from features ensuring clarity and feasibility.
Continuous learning: stay up to date with technologies & tool - incorporate latest best practices tools into libraries used across SEPA area
Demos: Present demos to user groups and teams showcasing new features.
Communication: Clear communication announcements about libraries upgrades migration.
Collaboration: Work closely with teams across SEPA area located in Bucharest Amsterdam Mumbai and Manila.
Agile/ Kanban team: prioritize requests participate in refinements and reviews.
What youll bring to the team
Experience:
Java Expertise: Minimum of 5 years experience with Java 17 and 21.
CI/CD Tools: Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GIT Maven Azure Ansible and Docker.
Observability & Monitoring: experience with Open telemetry or similar Kibana Grafana and Prometheus.
Scripting: knowledge of at least one scripting language like bash python
Spring Framework: Good knowledge of Spring Boot and concurrent/thread-safe programming.
Performance Optimization: Focus on optimizing the performance and quality of applications.
Software Design Paradigms: Good understanding of software design principles and patterns.
Agile Methodologies: Strong preference for working in Kanban/SCRUM and agile environments.
Nice to have:
Kafka: Understanding and practical exposure to Kafka.
JMS Integration: Proficient in using JMS for enterprise application integration.
TDD & BDD: Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and Gherkin.
XML Technologies: Experience with XML XSL and XSD particularly for MX message handling.
Cassandra/DBaaS Databases: Experience working with Cassandra Oracle databases.
Linux Skills: Good Linux skills for day-to-day operations.
Payments Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of the payments industry and its standards.
Foreign languages: English (advanced)
Education: must have Bachelors Degree (or higher) in an IT related field
