Job Summary

Job Title: Mammography Technologist

Location: The Woodlands TX 77380

Duration: 12 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM 5:30 PM 10.5-hour shifts Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday
Schedule: Wednesdays off; required to work 1 Saturday per month

Position Summary:

The Mammography Technologist performs high-quality mammographic imaging procedures used by physicians to detect breast abnormalities assist in diagnosis and support treatment planning. The technologist ensures patient comfort and safety while following all regulatory and facility protocols.

Responsibilities:

Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms according to established standards and physician orders.
Ensure optimal image quality and patient positioning for accurate interpretation.
Maintain compliance with ACR MQSA and other applicable regulations.
Review patient history and explain procedures to promote comfort and understanding.
Operate and maintain mammography and radiographic equipment.
Verify patient identification documentation and consent prior to procedures.
Collaborate with radiologists technologists and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Monitor and maintain appropriate quality control measures and records.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M).
Valid state licensure (as applicable).
BLS (AHA) certification required.
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience performing both screening and diagnostic mammography procedures preferred.

Skills & Modalities:
Radiology Tech (ARRT) Mammography Screening and Diagnostic Imaging Quality Assurance Radiation Safety Patient Care and Image Positioning.

Certifications:

ARRT (R)(M) Required
BLS (AHA) Required
