As we expand into the Midwest were seeking a passionate and experienced Safety Manager to lead our safety initiatives and ensure the highest standards of workplace safety across all projects.

Position Overview

The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing implementing and overseeing safety programs and procedures for DDGrids Midwest Division. This role is critical in fostering a culture of safety ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and protecting the health and well-being of our employees and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures tailored to electrical utility operations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections audits and risk assessments.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide safety training and onboarding for field and office personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA DOT and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to integrate safety into daily operations.
  • Maintain safety records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters in the Midwest Division.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Health or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in the electrical utility or construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and electrical safety practices.
  • Strong communication leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to job sites across the Midwest region.
  • Certifications such as CSP CHST or OSHA 30/500 are highly desirable.
