Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Breakfast Ambassador serves breakfast to guests in an effort to enhance their overall experience at the Hotel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Feature breakfast items that appeal to customers who value health and wellness without alienating other guest demographics based upon Brand guidelines.
  2. Provide day of week rotation schedules for key items to increase variety per Brand guidelines.
  3. Merchandise breakfast effectively by grouping and labeling breakfast options and featured items.
  4. Maintain current collateral that meets brand standards.
  5. Organize refrigerators freezers and dry storage area using the First In First Out (FIFO) rule to ensure that product with the closest expiration date is used first.
  6. Use an order sheet with inventory pars when placing orders.
  7. Keep daily logs up to date and filed correctly.
  8. Clean kitchen and breakfast area daily and attend to any spills or messes immediately.
  9. Assist guests with any questions and be available to guests at all times.

EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma required

Previous customer service experience required

SKILLS REQUIRED

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Understanding of food handling safety guidelines.

Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying taking time to understand the points being made asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Ability to convey information effectively.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

This position requires walking primarily on a hard level surface throughout the workday. The employee is frequently required to stand walk stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Reaching above shoulder heights below the waist or lifting as required. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.

Environmental Conditions:

This job operates in a hotel environment. This role is routinely in contact with food. This role frequently comes in contact with cleaning chemicals.

Sensory Demands:

The noise level is low to moderate in the building. There will be frequent interruptions from guests and phone calls.

Mental Demands:

There are a number of daily deadlines associated with this position which may cause stress to some individuals. The position must also deal with a wide variety of people and may encounter conflict.

WORK EXPECTATIONS

Regularly scheduled up to 40 hours per week but overtime and weekend hours could be required at times.
