Job Description
Join Teledyne Qioptiq and bring precision to advanced assembly! Were seeking a Solder-Assembly Technician to support high-quality electro-mechanical assembly operations. If you have strong soldering skills and thrive in a dynamic environment this role is for you.
What youll do
- Perform soldering wire and cable assembly and related operations.
- Maintain and operate soldering equipment.
- Assemble components using hand tools and follow engineering drawings.
- Conduct experiments on high-voltage high-power devices.
- Inspect finished products for quality and assist in resolving production issues.
- Utilize electrical schematics to wire systems and cabinets.
- Operate microscopes gauges and crimping equipment for precision work.
What you need
- 3 years of soldering and assembly experience (required)
- Ability to solder and de-solder SMT and through-hole components (required)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools (required)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints (required)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for security clearance (required)
- IPC 610/620/JSTD certifications (advantage)
- Two-year technical degree (advantage)
