Diet Clerk

Collects assesses and inputs on the Computrition system all patient related information required to ensure the provision of patient specific meals consistent with diet order prescribed. Acts as a liaison on behalf of the department with nursing units patients and clinical Dietitians in the provision of nutritional care. Enters diet orders allergies and meal preferences into the Computrition system.

Qualifications :

• Food and Nutrition services diploma from an approved college and/or University degree in Human Nutrition
• Strong Computer and keyboarding skills (MS Office Meditech or comparable software) required
• Familiar with Foodservice Diet Office Operating Systems (Computrition or comparable)
• Clinical nutrition knowledge in the management of disease
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload independently and use good judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment
• Demonstrates a caring respectful and professional approach
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

The ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.

Hours: Monday - Sunday- various rotating 8 & 12 hour shifts 0500-1700; 0600-1800; 1100-1900; (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements):

Salary:  $23.20 to $28.96 per hour
