ROLE SUMMARY
As a key member of the Global Risk team the Senior Associate will play a critical role in the operational execution of our global insurance and surety bond programs. This role will support business continuity and compliance by ensuring the timely issuance of insurance certificates managing invoicing for time-sensitive coverage and overseeing the administration of surety bonds required for global operations. The Senior Associate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external brokers and insurers to help protect the companys global operations and assets.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Surety Bond Program Management
Lead the day-to-day administration of the global surety bond program including evaluating requests coordinating with brokers and ensuring timely issuance and retrieval of bonds no longer required.
Insurance Invoicing & Compliance
Manage time-sensitive insurance invoicing including Workers Compensation payments and other coverages that are dependent on payment to bind coverage.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments in compliance with financial controls and regulatory requirements.
Certificate of Insurance (COI) Issuance
Coordinate the issuance of insurance certificates to meet business needs across geographies including support for vendor contracts real estate transactions and local regulatory requirements.
Respond quickly to urgent or high-impact COI requests often across global time zones.
Renewals & Program Support
Support Directors in the renewal of major global insurance programs by coordinating data collection preparing documentation and engaging cross-functional partners.
Assist with ongoing program maintenance and documentation across multiple lines of coverage (e.g. property casualty marine executive risk).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must have a bachelors degree in Risk Management Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field with at least 2 years of experience in insurance operations risk management or corporate finance.; OR a masters degree with more than 0 years of experience; OR an associates degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 8 years of relevant experience.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple high-priority deliverables.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent requests including outside of standard business hours when needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and other reporting/administration tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in a large multinational corporation or with global insurance programs.
Familiarity with surety bonds COI administration or insurance invoicing processes.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global teams.
Insurance-related certification (e.g. ARM CPCU) or willingness to pursue.
