JOB SUMMARY:

The selected candidate will contribute to program efforts across both Missile Defense and Space domains. As part of an integrated architecture and systems engineering team within a multi-company program the candidate will help define the operational physical functional and technical architectures that enable the programs evolving vision and role involves architecting missile defense command and control systems that integrate existing and COTS/GOTS components while ensuring DoD interoperability. The candidate will analyze high-level requirements develop system architecture solutions for emerging capabilities and collaborate closely with lead systems software network and cyber position requires strong communication and coordination across multiple teams including software development network engineering cybersecurity DevSecOps infrastructure testing and deployment. The candidate will present architecture concepts to diverse audiences engage with project leads product owners and MDA customers and serve as a focal point for system architecture throughout development testing and with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will maintain current knowledge of developing technologies and design methodologies in DoD Command and Control and commercial IT solutions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Candidate must have Systems Engineering/Architecture with Test Experience as a desired skill on a DoD Program.
  • Candidate must have the desire to be a Systems Architect on a complex Command and Control DoD Program.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to present technical concepts to a diverse group of engineers.
  • Additionally candidate must possess a minimum of two of the below skillsets:
    C2BMC or similar complex DoD Command and Control (C2) System experience 2 years.
    Experience in creating new System Architecture concepts and solutions.
    Information Technology / Computer Science / Software / Network related work experience on an integrated team working with other systems software and specialty engineers to develop solutions for a DoD Program.
    Experience as Technical Lead Systems Engineering SME or Systems Engineering technical leader in the Missile Defense Space or Link 16 Domain.
  • Additionally we are looking for the following skillsets / experience:
    Experience being part of a team that architected systems in an environment that leverages existing or COTS/GOTS components with DoD interoperability in mind.
    Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems software and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
    Experience with identification of system capabilities definition of system capabilities; communicating the system capabilities to a diverse group of developers engineers subject matter experts and users; and generating architecture artifacts to document and control the achievement of the system capabilities.
    Experience developing system engineering and architecture artifacts (e.g. Specifications Interface Control Documents Use Cases System Architecture Descriptions Trade Studies etc.).
    Experience creating briefings creating/reviewing architecture designs and artifacts and presenting at DoD Customer Design Reviews.
    Experience as a technical leader for a DoD Systems Engineering or Development effort.
    Familiarity with Private Cloud solutions and IT technologies such as VMWare/Nutanix RedHat Network solutions.
    Familiarity with DoD Cyber requirements RMF and associated solutions.
    Familiarity with Software development and Java based software.
    Familiarity with DevSecOps and/or Digital Engineering Transformation (DET) methodologies and solutions.
    Familiarity with Agile development
    Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo tool
    • Familiarity with requirements management tools e.g. DOORS.

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree with 9 years of experience or Master degree with 7 years of experience

LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site in Colorado Springs CO

CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT:Active Secret Clearance Required

SALARY RANGE: $120000 - $145000

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including location experience skill set performance licensure and certification and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation such as bonuses or commissions that is not included in the base salary.
