About the Team:

The Factory Test team is responsible for all hazardous testing in our Long Beach facilities. We use our breadth of experience and collaborative engineering approach to support everything from very large structural tests to precise valve actuation. To that end we design build and operate all test assets in Long Beach from initial concept to test execution. If you enjoy working on a multi-disciplinary team with a broad mandate and want to put hands on hardware then this is the team for you. The hours for this role are 11:00AM PST - 7:30 PM PST.

About the Role:

  • Oversees the ordering storing receiving and distributing processes of the departments products parts and supplies
  • Develop procedures to effectively manage and maintain the departments inventory
  • Store parts and materials in bins drawers and racks ensuring physical and digital locations are identical
  • Perform checks on incoming hardware to screen for damage or missing components
  • Perform good housekeeping chores in area including 6S methodologies

About You:

  • Well-rounded inventory professional that can support multiple functions including inventory management assembly kitting parts tracking general organization
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and perform physical tasks such as stooping bending crawling and maneuvering in tight spaces
  • 2 years of experience in a logistics inventory receiving inspection or material handling role
  • Self starter thats able to identify problems and implement solutions with little to no supervision

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Experience with Excel Jira Confluence Smartsheet or other tracking/ planning software
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing automotive or testing environment
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical components aerospace test systems and components
  • 2 years of forklift experience
