Job Summary
Doka USA Ltd. seeks a Project Engineer (Channahon IL) to determine and plan technical solutions for construction projects utilizing Doka formwork systems. Partner with customers contractors sales and operations departments while overseeing jobs from preliminary project planning stages to project completion. Support Sales by determining appropriate formwork solutions that meet the customers needs (economically and in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines). Work with sales to produce AutoCAD drawings during the proposal stage and finalize working drawings for Doka USA forming systems and provide material lists for quotations and shipments to the site. Provide guidance to customers regarding forming solutions service job sites and respond to questions concerning equipment usage. Motivate team and effectively delegate work ensuring team and company objectives are met. Produce and ensure that the drawings indicate the proper use of Doka USA forming equipment and that the drawings represent safe economical and efficient designs. Ensure that the policies procedures programs standards of performance and compliance are adhered to. Monitor conformance with contractual guidelines. Visit job sites as required. Identify any improper implementation and take action to ensure technical solutions are immediately implemented. Service the job site for the correct use of formwork systems in the absence of a service advisor. Ensure safe working practices and a safe working environment. 3% domestic travel required.
SALARY: $74256 per year.

Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Engineering Structural Engineering or a related field and 2 years of concrete design or concrete applications experience. Must have experience with: Scheduling projects to meet deadlines; Project management software; Determining and planning technical solutions for projects utilizing formwork systems; Working with sales to produce preliminary drawings during the proposal stage finalize field use drawings generating material lists for quotations and shipments to the site; Partnering with customers contractors sales and operations departments while managing jobs from preliminary project planning stages to project completion; Visiting job sites as required identifying any improper implementation and taking action to ensure technical solutions are immediately implemented; AutoCAD Structural analysis and basic static calculations; Computer applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint; and Ensuring that the policies procedures programs standards of performance and compliance are adhered to. 3% domestic travel required. Successful applicants must pass an AutoCad test and a Statics test.
