TPV Prototype Build Lead

In this position...

You will be responsible for TPV vehicle delivery. Vehicles must provide required test user function and be delivered to meet GPDS timing milestones.

What youll do...

• Lead TPV bridging meetings
• Educate team members on bridging process/lead times/MRD/build support etc.
• Attend Design Reviews PPATs PTRs Governance Start-Ups Hard Rocks etc.
• Manage and support facilitation of meetings designed for issue management and resolution
• Assist in completion of SOW
• Coordinate with NMPDC metal shop to identify parts that can be manufactured in-house
• Identify issues -- missing information timing disconnects escalate as needed
• Engage Vehicle Architecture team when needed to confirm bridging compatibility
• Monitor large scale design changes and impacts builds
• Track critical program milestones
• Collaborate with Test Planning to understand specific testing requirements
• Ensure CAD/CDX availability is on track to support supplier requirements for manufacturing
• Complete BOM scrubs to confirm orders part levels & quantities
• Support on site trial events when necessary
• Track part progression and manufacturing lead timing
• Implement bridging part numbering procedure
• Provide clear direction to supplier on part numbering and tagging information to ensure parts are received without issue
• Lead bridging part planning into build and coordinate with
• build planners/PCN/Quick Release Teams
• Identify BOM disconnects that will risk timely delivery to build or complications for install
• Coordinate availability of bridging illustrations & provide to build site
• Identify part shortage impacts to build and work with build planning teams to resolve job stoppers
• Provide on-site build support
• Initiate PCNs as needed
• Respond to bridging related stop builds
• Identify and create containment action plans for issue resolution
• Support timely delivery of build units to handoff to test customer

Youll have...

• 3 years of previous experience working on prototype vehicle builds
• Knowledge of GPDS and the Program Management process
• Experience with design verification process
• Previous exposure to vehicle system and subsystem testing
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Good computer skills and basic knowledge of company databases/systems (Teamcenter GPRSJ ELMS/VDO PVS and Prototype Operations for PCN and plant floor schedules)

• FEDEBOM
