The Position
This position leads the annual budget process and financial analysis for Washington Countys Housing Department and the Housing Authority of Washington County. It is responsible for preparing various financial reports on a monthly quarterly and annual cycle. This position will also support long-range forecasting and scenario planning to inform management decisions.Senior Budget and Financial Analyst oversees the preparation and monitoring of department and fund budgets supports audits and develops internal controls and procedures to support financial activities.

Education and Experience:

• A Masters Degree in finance accounting economics statistics or a related field; ANDtwo (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis or auditing which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principle duties of this position classification; OR
• A Bachelors Degree in finance accounting economics statistics or a related field; ANDfour (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis or auditing which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principle duties of this position classification; OR
• An Associates Degree in finance accounting economics statistics or a related field; ANDsix (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis or auditing which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principle duties of this position classification; OR
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis or auditing of which at least four (4) years of this experience must be in the public sector and includes at least one (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience spanning responsibilities in the defined principle duties of this position classification.
