Overview
Title: Facilities Specialist
Classification: Exempt
Salary: $60000/year
Position Summary
The Facilities Specialist will manage and maintain nine facilities in and around Houston TX while providing support to other EDSI locations as needed. This role ensures that facilities are adequate for company operations. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of electrical plumbing and HVAC systems and experience in facilities management and quality control.

Ensure all facilities are adequate safe and presentable for company operations
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Manage daily operations of all facility systems including electrical mechanical HVAC plumbing and safety systems
- Perform hands-on maintenance repairs and inspections when necessary
- Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs for equipment and infrastructure
- Supervise and coordinate work performed by maintenance staff and outside contractors
- Ensure compliance with all local state and federal safety and building codes
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for maintenance services supplies and utilities
- Oversee facility renovations capital improvement projects and space planning
- Monitor facility budgets track expenses and ensure cost-effective operations
- Maintain detailed maintenance records inspections and work orders
- Respond promptly to facility emergencies and coordinate resolutions
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices
- Work as a liaison between IT and Facilities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 35 years of experience in facilities management and quality control
- Knowledge of electrical plumbing and HVAC systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Work Environment
- Based in Houston TX with regular travel to local facilities and occasional travel to other EDSI locations
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to facility inspections and maintenance
- Available for on-call emergencies or after-hours maintenance issues
