JOB SUMMARY
Assist in the development and oversight of global Energy & Facilities strategy with regional responsibility for executing (ensuring FM resources are effectively managed to meet business / customer requirements). Regional Manager is responsible for providing Energy management expertise and leadership in the region. Demonstrate oversight in Energy management covering both operational and strategic management to achieve business excellence. Regional Energy & Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing energy management initiatives in region driving efficiency to reduce energy usage and cost of energy spend. Along with improving the region Energy & Facilities Management scoring and ensuring sites have appropriate Energy & Facilities Management Compliance. Oversee Project Management / coordination for major Energy Efficiency related to Facilities and Building projects.
This role encompasses establishing strategic regional direction and will require establishment of indirect leadership amongst Jabils plant-level Energy & Facilities management personnel & systems. This leadership authority will be supported by senior Jabil management.
Its essential that the RFM promotes a positive proactive FM culture throughout the region.
Regional Manager is responsible for creating managing and implementing regional Energy & Facilities management programs and systems to ensure due diligence of regulatory and internal compliance. Regional Energy & Facilities Manager is responsible for regional Energy matters company risk mitigation and continuous improvements that yield positive quantitative results.
Regional Energy & Facilities Manager is escalation point for all regional Energy & Facilities concerns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for establishing a regional stewardship/risk mitigation strategy for energy management that includes compliance to standards (e.g. FMG)
Responsible for energy management that drives improvement in factories; (usage reduction and/or cost control/reduction)
Responsible for providing each site with effective & efficient property management space solutions (including lease versus new build options).
Responsible to create manage and implement regional specific programs and systems that support global Sustainability strategy
Development implementation and maintenance of energy policies procedures inspections programs reporting etc. Technical writing. Proliferation of policy procedures standards and metrics in region
Responsible for periodic evaluation review and guidance to plant level personnel. Such as Energy Management initiatives and Global Energy scoring improvements.
Identifying and Implementing cost reduction Ideas that yield quantitative results. Evidence of realization of cost reduction or risk mitigation.
Coordinates with internal and external customers on all issues related to the companys impact related to energy & Facilities
Determines best practices sources and methods of core Energy & Facilities management disciplines proliferation in region
Performs technical research and develops solutions to engineering problems. Stays current with regulatory and technical development in the sustainability profession.
Serve as a subject matter technical resource to all levels of the organization including service organization
Responsible for energy technology road map that improves facilities efficiency
Responsible to regional budget variance and cost management
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned (assist Sustainability Director with various Sustainability related projects to support business /operations management requirements)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Facilities Energy Management & Legislation subject matter expert
Demonstrate continual improvement in Facilities Management / Energy management practices
Good communication skills (at all levels)
Due Diligence M&A project type activities
Project Management experience (construction / building services knowledge). A positive attitude towards problem solving and ability to affect change at all levels. Flexibility is essential as this role will involve work and travel throughout the region (expectation approx. 50%)
Proficiency in use of personal computers Microsoft Office products (Excel Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree required.
Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred (Energy & Sustainability Facilities / Engineering management)
Minimum of ten (10) years experience and a proven track record in facilities management energy sustainability or similar roles
Or an equivalent combination of education training or experience.
