The AdultsProgram Assistant provides support and assistance to the Team Leader in running group activities and to meet the practical and spiritual needs of community members attending the program/service.
Key responsibilities:
Activity Preparation: Prepare session resources and share with Team leader as well as assist in the setting up of activity area.
During activity: With the support and guidance of the Team Leader assist in the facilitation of the activities ensuring a supportive and caring environment for all participants. Assist with managing group dynamics to ensure full enjoyment of the activity and respond to individual needs as needed.
Post activity: Assist with the packing away of furniture and equipment. Engage in confidential debrief on activity with the Team Leader recording any concerns and follow ups with individuals.
Administration duties:As required let Team leader know of attendance of group for Samis.
Qualifications and skills (desired/required):
Experience in relevant field highly regarded
First Aid certificate highly regarded
